SPARTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a semi truck Thursday.
The crash happened around 5:15 Thursday afternoon in the 2800 block of 13 Mile Road, east of Peach Ridge near Sparta.
Investigators say the rider was attempting to pass the semi while the truck was turning. The motorcyclist ran into the truck.
The motorcycle rider lost control and drove off the road. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The semi-truck driver was not hurt.
Kent County deputies say the motorcycle rider was at fault in the accident.
