Overturned semi closed Eastbound 196 at Lake Michigan Drive.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Eastbound 196 is reopened after being closed for a couple hours due to an overturned semi truck.
A semi overturned on Eastbound 196 early Monday morning. The semi blocked the highway, causing Eastbound 196 to be closed at Lake Michigan Drive for hours, until shortly before 7 am.
Drivers had to detour by exiting at Lake Michigan Drive and then re-entering the highway at Lane Avenue or Market Street.
Wrecker crews had to call in special equipment to move the large truck, which delayed the clean up and reopening of the highway.
No one was injured in the crash.
