GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The race between President Obama and Mitt romney is now a statistical dead heat in Michigan, according to WZZM 13's latest poll.

The survey, conducted by the Glengariff Group for WZZM, WDIV-TV and the Detroit News, shows President Obama with support of 47.7% of Michigan voters.  Republican challenger Mitt Romney is at 45%.  The two men's results are within the poll's 4% margin of error.

Mr. Obama has an 11-percentage point lead over Romney among women voters, 52%-41%, but Romney has gained support among men and now holds a six-point lead in that group, 49%-43%.

Romney is leading the President when voters are asked who would do a better job handling the economy, though Obama leads when the issues are foreign policy or values.
