GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A woman is being credited with stopping a potentially serious crash in Grand Rapids Wednesday night.
Police were called to Lake Drive SE just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. There, they found a van on top of a curb.
The passenger of the van says the driver started acting erractically, so she took over the steering wheel, pulling the vehicle to the side of the road.
The woman told police she was worried the driver would hit children trick or treating in the neighborhood.
Police suspect the van driver suffered from a medical condition.
