HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police are searching for two suspects following a shooting at a Holland apartment complex.

It happened around 8 p.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 800 block of East 16th Street.

Police say a 43-year-old man was shot in the lower leg by two men wearing hoodies who broke down his door.  The suspects ran from the scene.

Police have locked down Grand Valley State University's Holland campus, and officers are escorting students and faculty out of the complex.

Capt. Jack Dykstra says they do not know what the motive was behind the shooting.  The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, and is expected to recover.

Police have established a perimeter around the scene, and are using dogs to pick up the scent of the suspects.
