GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Veteran's Day is Sunday, but Grand Rapids residents are paying tribute a bit sooner to those who fought for our country.
People lined the sidewalks Saturday morning as band after band marched down Division St.
Uniformed members of the American Legion and other military members also took part in the procession.
One veteran says events like this are a good way to remind younger generations of the sacrifices made for their freedom.
"Guys took time out of their lives," said Dave Mish, WWII & Korean War Veteran. "I myself right out of high school went into the Navy."
Saturday's parade ended at Veteran's Memorial Park.
