HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-A collision in Holland Township sent a teenager to the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash happened 5:50 p.m. Friday. Ottawa County deputies say Faodara Kith, 17, was stopped at 136th Avenue waiting to turn left onto Cascade Road when his car was rear-ended by a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 42-year-old Torey Wright of Holland. The crash sent Kith's Honda Civic into a nearby ditch.
Paramedics took Kith to Holland Community Hospital, where he was last listed in serious condition. Wright was not injured in the crash.
Wright was ticketed for failing to stop a safe distance away. He says he did not see brake lights or a turn signal activated on Kith's car. Kith was cited for driving without a license.
