OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM)-The search for a missing deer hunter in Oceana County is over.
After combing the woods for hours, deputies and Michigan State Police troopers found the body of the 66-year-old Twin Lake man around 11 a.m. Friday. The man left his hunting camp around 3 p.m. Thursday and never returned. He was reported missing to deputies seven hours later.
The Oceana County Undersheriff believes the hunter was hauling a large deer when he suffered a medical problem and died. Investigators are withholding his name while they contact his family.
