GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)-Grand Rapids ushered in the holiday season Saturday with a tradition that's been around for more than a century.
An estimated 10,000 people lined the streets Saturday morning for the Art Van Santa Parade, presented by the Grand Rapids Jaycees. Among the floats and bands was the WZZM 13 team and satellite truck, which was decked out for the occasion.
The Santa Parade started in the late 1800s. This year, participants took a new route through downtown, starting at Michigan Street and Monroe Avenue.
