Walmart worker trucks out TVs for a Black Friday sale.
ROOSEVELT PARK, Mich. (WZZM) -- Retailers across the country -- including in West Michigan -- will get an early start on Black Friday with special sales on Thanksgiving Day and night.
Workers at the Henry Street Walmart in Roosevelt Park are preparing for their big event, as sales start at 8 p.m. Thursday. From 10-11 p.m., Walmart will hold its electronic sale -- which will include a TVs, Apple iPads, and Blue-Ray DVD players.
When the sale items are gone, store manager Erick Sutton says, those who are still in line will receive a guarantee card to purchase the item on-line for the same price, "as long as it is purchased before midnight Thursday night."
The third phase of Walmart's Black Friday sales starts at 5 a.m. Friday.
Electronics retailer Best Buy will have its deals start at midnight on Black Friday, but shoppers are already lining up for deals.
Two tents are outside the Best Buy on Alpine Avenue in Walker -- set up by people who began waiting last week.
