HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-Ottawa County deputies say two Grand Rapids area women, arrested for allegedly stealing from a Holland Township store, are likely responsible for other robberies in the area.

Investigators say the women stole items from the Old Navy store on Felch Street around 5:45 a.m. Friday. A security guard confronted them outside the business and took the merchandise. The women ran to a nearby van, drove up to the guard, got out and grabbed the bags of stolen items. Deputies say one woman threatened the security officer with a handgun before they both got away in the van.

Deputies later located their van on U.S. 31 near Tyler Street and arrested the women. Inside the vehicle, detectives say they found a large amount of property stolen from other stores in the Holland Township and Muskegon areas.

Both women are facing multiple charges, including armed robbery.
