GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A West Michigan girl mauled by a raccoon finished her final nose surgery.
Charlotte Ponce, 10, was mauled as an infant when a raccoon crawled into her crib and began to eat her face. She needed her cheek, nose, lip, and ear reconstructed.
Charlotte's mother says her nose surgeries are completed and they're happy Charlotte is in the recovery process.
"Her worst thing in the hospital was the IV in her hand," says Sharon Ponce, Charlotte's mother. "She complains about that more than anything. Otherwise she's a trooper."
Charlotte only has reconstructive ear surgery left.
