(WZZM) - What do you think about the right to work issue?
Many people we asked on the streets of Grand Rapids were still confused on what the legislation would even mean for them, while we found others who have been following this closely.
Here's what they had to say:
"We need to start valuing human beings and workers and the time that they invest in the employers because the employers don't get anywhere without the workers, and I think unions are a great way to off-set that."--Brent Webster
"I think that virtually anyone should have the right to make a deal with their employer, whether they sit down and talk over what is gonna happen, and why, and what it's worth. It just seems like a basic right."--Richard Spafford
"I think it's wonderful that we're finally at a point in Michigan where we're going to give workers the right to choose whether they want to join a union or not join a union. I mean, I think unions are really important in some things, but I think that we, as workers and employees, have a right to choose."--Ginny Seyferth
