GRAND RAPIDS & ROCKFORD, Mich. (WZZM)- Broadway Grand Rapids continues to work to reach out to young adults who may have a love of theater or those who don't know yet that they do.

Meghan Distel from Broadway Grand Rapids says, "Working with Rockford has been great. We've been able to give them a look behind the scenes to what we do to bring these productions here."

Beauty and Beast is the next tour in Broadway Grand Rapids' lineup making a stop at Devos Place. In the audience, you'll see some Rockford High School theater students. It's all part of a collaboration to get them involved with the non-profit group.

In exchange for volunteer hours at master classes and workshops, they get a ticket to the show and a chance to get inspired.

RHS Theater Student, Katherine Tasma says, "That's the plan, hopefully. I'm going to pursue it in college probably and we're going to see where it takes me also it's just a fun thing to do with friends."

Spencer Kruse, another student agrees, "I feel so blessed to have BGR so close to where I live and just part of the community because its like getting a taste of the professional theater world which a lot of towns don't have. I love the opportunity to help out and volunteer."

Beauty and the Beast runs from December 26th-30th.
