CANNONSBURG, Mich (WZZM) -- Ski and snowboard enthusiasts can start getting their gear ready.
Overnight temperatures are finally low enough for Cannonsburg to start making snow.
The resort and ski shop started snowmaking at 10 Monday night.
This will be the first time Cannonsburg gets to fire up their snowmaking system with the new million dollar upgrade system.
"This year we've got a little later start than we'd like," said Mark Marcmoline with Cannonsburg Ski Area. "Traditionally we are open the first week in Decemeber. This year it's the second week now, we're just starting to make snow, a little later than we hoped, but you got to play by mother nature's rules sometimes."
