2013 Creston High School Graduation
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Fans of Creston High are organizing this year's Senior All Night Party and are asking for community help. The hope is to send Creston's last senior class out with a bang.
Michelle Faber, one of the organizers says, "With it possibly being the last graduating class from Creston High School, we definitely want to do something fun for the kids." Tammie Drummond, another organizer adds, "There's many things for the students to do. They'll have a variety of things from 6 p.m. to 5 in the morning. It's an all nighter."
Organizers already have a secret venue, but need to raise $7,000 for the senior class party. The night is a way to keep students' spirits up throughout the year.
Medina Jones is a parent of one of those graduating seniors. "They had discontinued some of the activities they had in the past. This all night party is something they can do to go out with a bang in case they happen to be the last class here."
The committee is looking for food, volunteers, raffle items and donations. They welcome anything to make the last day memorable for students already struggling to say goodbye. "It's a family here, losing that family is going to be kinda difficult because we won't hear the words "respect" from Mr. Lyons every day. We won't hear anything from our teachers anymore," says senior Thomas DeBoer.
