KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM)- The Grand Rapids Griffins are teaming up with the Salvation Army in a friendly team competition to raise money.
Four Griffins players, three coaches and a Red Wings legend will ring bells for the Salvation Army at the Kentwood Family Fare on Tuesday. They will be competing with each other to see who can raise the most during their hour-long shifts.
From 2 to 3 p.m. head coach, Jeff Blashill and three-time Stanley Cup Champion-turned Detroit Red Wings advisor Chris Chelios will be ringing the bells. They will be competing against Griffins assistant coach Jim Paek and team scouting coach Spiros Anastas.
From 3 to 4 p.m. see Griffins forward Landon Ferraro battle defenseman Brian Lashoff.
From 4 to 5 p.m. Forward Mitch Callahan and goalie Tom McCollum will duke it out.
