UPDATE 11:50 am - Our crew on the scene says one adult, 3 infants, a 2 year old, and a 12 year old were inside the home at the time of the fire.
The adult and an infant were upstairs. The adult had to drop a 10 month old out of the second story window, into the arms of waiting neighbors below. That baby was taken to the hospital with burns.
The adult had to jump out of the window and hurt her ankle. She was taken to the hospital for treatment as well.
A couple children were also taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Two children were treated on the scene.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Several children were sent to the hospital after a house fire in Southeast Grand Rapids Wednesday morning.
The fire was in the 1000 block of Prospect Southeast.
The home had multiple units inside.
Several children, including a number of babies, were taken to the hospital because of the fire. We are not sure of the extent of the children's injuries.
