Keeki Pure and Simple Makeup
COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WZZM) -- A Kent County mom who started making chemical-free makeup for her daughter has turned it into a business.
Natalie Bauss started Keeki Pure and Simple back in 2010. She was inspired by her young daughter, Keeki, who wanted to paint her nails and use make-up.
Bauss had been in the cosmetic business for 20 years, and was concerned about harmful chemicals. She now has a line of eco-friendly and chemical-free products ranging from nail polish to lip gloss.
"My philosophy is you should be able to eat what your putting on your body, because we absorb 60-% of what goes on our skin," says Bauss. "We have to have a good mind set, be mindful of what we're using."
Keeki Pure and Simple products can be found locally at Forest Hills Foods, Harvest Health, and Whole Foods.
