BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - A two vehicle crash left a driver critically injured Monday in Montcalm County. The accident happened around 12 p.m. at the intersection of Derby Rd. and Fleck Rd.

Sheriff's deputies say a tow truck, driven by a 21 year old man, ran a stop sign while northbound on Derby Rd. The tow truck struck an eastbound car driven by a mail carrier.

The driver of the car, a 44 year old man, was transported by AeroMed to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. He is listed in critical condition.

The driver of the tow truck was not injured.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The tow truck driver was wearing his safety belt. Authorities say the mail carrier was on his route and was not buckled.
