GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The Grand Rapids Children's Museum held its New Year's "early" Eve party Monday evening. In addition to a balloon drop, boys and girls enjoyed a live DJ, noisemakers and face painting. There were also child-friendly hors-d'oeuvres and drinks.
"It's the only really kid-friendly party in downtown. It's done early enough that the adults can go out and do their own thing when we're done here," says Adrienne Brown. "We actually have people who start calling the day after Thanksgiving to get tickets for this event. They come to expect it every year. they love it, and they keep coming back every year."
Children even entered the party on a red carpet. This is the 15th year the children's museum has held its New Year's Eve party.
