CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. (WZZM) - Cedar Springs Police believe one man is responsible for three business robberies within 10 days.

The most recent crime happened at Family Video on S. Main Street shortly before 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Two clerks say the suspect waited in the store for all the customers to leave then pulled a mask over his face. He approached the counter, flashed a five to six inch hunting knife, and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, police say he ran west towards 2nd Street.

The thief is described as a white man with dark hair, around 30 years of age, who is five feet, eight inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark coat.

Police say the suspect's description is similar to the man responsible for two other robberies. The Admiral gas station was robbed December 22 and a donation can was taken from Kent Theater December 29. Both businesses are located on Main Street.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Cedar Springs Police Department at (616) 696-1311 or Silent Observer at (616) 774-2345.
