GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A gay rights group in West Michigan is spreading its political message with a new public service announcement.

Grand Rapids-based, Until Love is Equal, is releasing 15 new PSAs with community and business leaders, including the CEO of the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Dana Friis-Hansen.

Organizers say the videos are meant to keep the spotlight on Holland, where gay rights legislation for employment and housing was voted down in 2011.

"It allows other people to feel, that this is something I can speak out on because, look this person I know and look up to, who has done so much for the community, is standing up and saying this," says Erin Wilson, Founder of Until Love is Equal.

Holland's Mayor had no comment on the new public service announcement.
