(LANSING STATE JOURNAL) - More than 100 protesters are outside the Capitol this morning where new state legislators are set to be sworn in today.

Many in the crowd are union members upset about Michigan's recent passage of right-to-work legislation.

The protesters, many carrying signs and chanting, arrived at the Capitol shortly after 8 a.m. after a "Walk of Shame" from the Central United Methodist Church on North Capitol Avenue.

Protesters plan to deliver cookies to legislators who voted against right to work and other contentious legislation during the lame duck session. They also plan to deliver crumbs to supporters.
