GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - Managers of the Woodfield Apartments are stepping up security after a fourth fire in as many weeks.
Wednesday night's fire damaged at least four garages, according to witnesses. Investigators say no accelerants were found in the fire, but a spokesman for the apartment complex says there are no known problems with the garages involved.
A ruptured gas tank is to blame for the first fire at the complex, which happened in December. A fire last week damaged two garages at the Woodfield East complex. That fire is considered suspicious.
