KENT COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM)-- A Kent County deputy is in the hospital after an altercation with a suspect.
According to the Sheriff Department's Facebook page, the deputy chased down a person wanted on multiple warrants. The deputy got into a fight with the suspect and suffered a broken leg with multiple fractures. Despite his injuries, the deputy was still able to arrest the suspect.
The deputy was taken into surgery Saturday afternoon and is expected to recover.
