DALTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - The Muskegon County Sheriff's Office says icy roads are to blame for an accident that killed a driver late Sunday afternoon.
It happened around four o'clock on Tyler Road between Russell and Central Roads.
Sheriff's Deputies say the driver of a Chevy Beretta, Roxanne Fiedorowicz, lost control on the ice and slid into westbound traffic colliding with a Ford Escape driven by Darren Flowers.
Fiedorowicz was pronounced dead at the scene her passenger, Kirk Creighton was transported to Spectrum Health. Flowers received only minor injuries.
The Muskegon County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the accident.
