GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - All three Grand Rapids area hospitals are restricting visitors starting today to help stop the spread of flu to vulnerable patients and staff.
A joint statement from Metro Health, Saint Mary's Health Care and Spectrum Health was released Monday morning.
Only healthy visitors will be allowed to visit patients in the hospitals or outpatient clinics and only two visitors or family members will be allowed to visit any patient at a time.
Visitors are expected to be healthy, meaning they don't have:
- A fever over 100.4F
- Sore throat
- Runny nose or congestion
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- A rash or draining sores
