CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. (WZZM) - A fourth suspect has been arrested in an August robbery at a Cedar Springs apartment.
Timothy John Werkema, 30, of Montcalm County, was arrested last week and was arraigned in 63rd District Court on Monday on a number of outstanding warrants. He is being held on a $75,000 bond.
Werkema is a suspect in robbery that took place in an apartment in Cedar Springs in August. The victim had recently sold a vehicle and a group of four suspects went to the apartment and robbed him of the cash. Three of the suspects were arrested and charged in November, including a 16-year-old girl.
A Kent County Sheriff's Deputy suffered an injury to his leg in apprehending Werkema.
Investigators say that Werkema had been living with a female friend in Montcalm County and had an expired drivers' license showing an address on McPhail Ave. NE. At the time of the robbery, investigators believe he was living on Pine Island Drive NE.
