GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Police are investigating a shooting on Grand Rapids northeast side that stemmed from a robbery.
It happened around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday on Penn Avenue near Leonard Street NE.
According to police dispatch, the victim was possibly hit above his eye by a ricocheted bullet or bullet fragment. He was expected to survive.
The victim told police his leather jacket was stolen by a group of about six men who ran off.
