GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Mecosta County Emergency Management says the threat of flooding from an ice jam is easing.
The National Weather Service has removed the Flood Watch on the Muskegon River above Rogers Dam.
Earlier this week, emergency managers started watching the river levels after an ice jam formed on the back side of Rogers Pond, causing water to back up around some of the low lying homes on Riverside Drive.
Authorities say, just even though the flood watch has been rescinded, residents should still keep watch on the river for changing conditions.
If you see any sudden changes in the Muskegon River level, call Meceola Central Dispatch at (231) 796-4811.
