GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A new piece of art is taking shape downtown with the help of the fresh snow.

Artist Tony Gant is transforming a portion of Rosa Parks Circle into "Project A: A Snowbank." The sculpture will include lights embedded into a wall of snow.

Gant is also using white wood and paper snowflakes made by visitors.

The lighting will take place Wednesday night, and the sculpture will be available for viewing until January 30.

The Grand Rapids Art Museum will also host a presentation by Gant at 7 p.m. Friday.
