MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - The trial of a Norton Shores man, facing charges in the death of his two-month old son, is on hold. Norton Shores Police say the child's injuries did not match Anthony Casanova's story that he dropped the boy earlier this month.
Wednesday morning, a Muskegon County judge approved Casanova's attorney's request for a mental competency evaluation, citing a history of mental health issues.
"He believes that he in fact has multiple personalities," says Shawn Davis, Casanova's Attorney.
It could take several months before the results of the mental evaluation are known.
