(WZZM) - Many of us made a New Year's resolution to lose weight in 2013, now the state of Michigan is stepping in to offer support.

MI Healthier Tomorrow is part of Governor Snyder's charge to the Michigan Department of Community Health to reduce the state's obesity rate, because right now we are the 5th fattest state in the nation. The campaign is asking residents to pledge to lose 10% of their body weight.

Why 10%? Because that's where you start to see the impact losing weight can have on your health.

In the video above, WZZM 13 health reporter Valerie Lego has a look at the website and how it can help you keep your resolution.
