  • RAVENNA, Mich. (WZZM) - The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality spent Tuesday morning investigating a manure spill at a Muskegon County dairy farm.

According to Mike Worm of the DEQ, the spill has met notification requirements by being contained on-site.

None of the spill has been or will be released into Crockery Creek, Worm said.

Worm tells WZZM that the spill was contained to the farm's driveway and into nearby pastures.

WZZM 13 learned Monday through a source that several tanks, possibly holding thousands of gallons of animal waste, spilled at Den Dulk Farms.

The farm is located at 4812 Wunsch Road.

DEQ officials in Grand Rapids confirm they received an anonymous emergency call about the spill Monday afternoon.

WZZM 13 contacted Den Dulk Farms, but our call was not answered.

When asked in person, a manager denied there was a spill.
