More than 800 people attended mass at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew as part of Catholic Schools Week.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - More than 800 children, pastors, teachers, and staff attended mass at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew Tuesday as part of Catholic Schools Week.
The national tradition started in 1974. The Diocese of Grand Rapids says this year's theme is "Raise the Standards".
West Michigan is home to 31 Catholic schools with nearly 6,000 students.
Catholic Schools Week runs through February 2 and will include community service projects, open houses, and other special events.
