GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)-A shelter for Grand Rapids men transitioning from homelessness is getting a facelift.

More than 75 volunteers pitched in Saturday to renovate a common room at Exodus Places. Using donated supplies from Home Depot, Lumberman's and HBC Contracting, they're working to transform the room into a "Fishing Lodge Café", which will feature a computer station, coffee bar and flat screen TV with places for visitors to sit and relax.

Many military veterans volunteered to help with the project Saturday, since the shelter houses many war veterans.
