Police say Anthony David Popielarz is a person of interest in multiple cases of stolen credit cards.
CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. (WZZM)-Cedar Springs Police believe a Sand Lake man facing charges for using a stolen credit card may be responsible for similar crimes throughout the city.
Officers arrested 20-year-old Anthony David Popielarz at a home on South 2nd Street Tuesday. He's suspected of taking a wallet from inside a parked vehicle and using one of the cards to make more than $334 in purchases. Popielarz is expected to be formally charged for the December incident Wednesday.
Police consider Popielarz a person of interest in other cases of stolen credit cards. One man was inside a tavern when he says someone broke into his vehicle near Ash Street and Cherry Street. One of his stolen credit cards was used at a number of local businesses.
Police want to remind drivers to lock their vehicles and never leave valuables unattended.
