REED CITY, Mich. (WZZM) -- A Montague man is facing several charges after motel operators say he refused to leave his room.
The incident happened Sunday at the Reed City Motel on South Chestnut Street.
Michigan State Police troopers were called to the motel on a report of a man refusing to leave, despite the efforts of employees. Troopers say the suspect refused to open the door to them. Once they entered the room the man began struggling, but the troopers were able to place him under arrest.
Police are identifying the suspect as Lance Spinner, 41, of Montague. Spinner is charged with misdemeanor trespassing, felony resisting and obstructing, and violating probation.
Spinner was on probation for a June 2012 arrest for resisting and obstructing officers in Ottawa County.
