MCBRIDE, Mich. (WZZM) - A 67-year-old McBride man had his vehicle window shot out by an apparent errant bullet Sunday afternoon.
The shooting happened on Wyman Road near Coral Road in the village of McBride.
Montcalm County Sheriff Deputies say that Doug Davis was driving north on Wyman when a bullet shattered his passenger side front window and went through the passenger front seat head rest. The bullet was found in the vehicle.
Deputies were able to determine that two people were target practicing with handgun inside a building on the SE corner of Wyman and Coral. One of their shots missed their backstop, went through the west wall of the building and hit Davis' vehicle as he was driving by.
Deputies have taken the firearms and other evidence and continue to investigate. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor for possible charges.
