GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Florists are scrambling before Valentine's Day. Eastern Floral is fragrant as ever.
"On the average day, we have about 100 deliveries from this location. Tomorrow we're 'guesstimating' about 1,500 deliveries just in one day," says Kiersten Schulte, Director of Marketing at Eastern Floral.
Workers are preparing Cupid's arrow in the form of flowers.
Schulte says, "It's just craziness all packed in together. We're here late at night, here early in the morning."
Designer Penny Diephouse says, "We have the red roses of course, some orange sweethearts, some tulips."
She's working her love potion on every bouquet she touches.
"Our flowers come from all over the world, so it's very pretty. You know this is going to someone that will make them very happy for Valentine's Day."
Rose orders alone had this crew preparing for days with an assembly line.
"We're doing mass quantities of things, we have over 600 dozen red roses arranged," says Diephouse.
It's further proof that accountants have Tax Day and florists have Valentine's Day.
