Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Alex Steen scored just 52 seconds into overtime
to help the St. Louis Blues take a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on
Wednesday.
In the extra session, Barret Jackman threw a hard shot on net from the left
side that hit off of Jimmy Howard and popped out to the right. Steen was able
to grab the puck and jam it in for the win.
Chris Stewart had a goal and an assist while Patrik Berglund and Vladimir
Tarasenko each scored for the Blues, who snapped a five-game slide. Jake Allen
stopped 15 shots in the win.
Pavel Datsyuk, Drew Miller and Tomas Tatar all scored for the Red Wings, who
had a three-game winning streak stopped. Howard made 21 saves.
