(WZZM) - The man accused of killing a Kentwood couple last month may be brought back to Michgian soon.
22-year-old Javonte Higgins decided to refuse to waive his extradition rights last month, and after some delays, today he will finally argue why he shouldn't have to come back to Michigan any time soon.
Cook County law enforcement has already taken steps to ensure Higgins's extradition would be speedy by dropping a resisting arrest charge they made January 18 when they found him in a Chicago suburb.
Right now, Higgins is wanted here on home invasion charges, but is also expected to be charged with the deaths of David and Vivian Bouwman as soon as he can get here to be arraigned. They were shot January 5 while their house was being broken into.
