GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A West Michigan contractor will serve jail time for taking money from homeowners and not doing the work.
Jason Cooper was running a contracting business under the name of AJK Construction. 13 On Your Side warned viewers about the potential scam early last year.

Cooper eventually pleaded no contest to false pretenses. This week, he was sentence to six months in jail, as well as five years probation. A judge also ordered Cooper pay $2,000 in restitution.
