Its been a snowy month in Muskegon, and now a new record for February. As of Sunday, February 24th, Muskegon has reported 46.4 inches of snow for the month. This breaks the old record for February of 45.8 inches of snow set in 1981.
After a very slow start, Muskegon has now reported 86 inches of snow for the season. That is above the average of 80.3 inches expected to this date.
Grand Rapids has received 49.3 inches of snow so far this season, compared to the average expected to this date of 63 inches.
Another storm will bring additional snow late Tuesday and Wednesday.
