(WZZM)- The 9th Annual 28th Street Metro Cruise is scheduled for this August, but preparations are well underway.
The Metro Cruise is a two-day car festival, stretching 15 miles down 28th Street. Cruise Coordinator Gregg Howard says 15,000 cars will be available for viewing. He says they expect 200,000 people this year.
Highlights for this year's event include street food and live entertainment, a pin-up contest and sock hop, and two live red carpet-style TV shows featuring classic cars as well as unusual finds. That will air live on WKTV.
Now, preparations are focused on finding cars to feature in that TV show, finding sponsors and volunteers. If you are interested in any of the above, please visit the Metro Cruise website or contact Cruise Coordinator Gregg Howard at firstname.lastname@example.org or (616) 719-6494
The 9th Annual 28th Street Metro Cruise is hosted by the Wyoming-Kentwood Area Chamber of Commerce, and it hits West Michigan August 23-24.
