GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A Grand Rapids man has died from injuries he received during an assault on the city's southeast side. It happened around 7:30 Sunday night at a home in the 400 block of Adams Street.
Police say the first report came in that Douglas Barry, 69, was injured in a bad fall. Upon further investigation, police decided Barry's injuries did not match the initial report and it was determined Barry was actually assaulted.
Grand Rapids Police tell WZZM Barry passed away Monday. They are awaiting autopsy results.
