MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - There was another great ''Cloud Bust'' on this beautiful, sunny day. This time the team from Gilda's Club LaughFest and WZZM 13 surprised Dr. Joseph Salisz at West Shore Urology.
Dr. Salisz was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer and ended up losing both his prostate and his bladder. He's used his experience to help other people going through a similar journey, and says the irony of it is he's spent his career taking care of patients with his same challenges.
"All my patients wonder if what they have is contagious because then they start wondering if I'm getting what they have. And then they all wonder why I got it so badly. Wasn't I paying attention? And, it was really just kind of a lightning bolt strike that made it happen," said Dr. Salisz.
Dr. Salisz says on his blog the experience has actually made him a better doctor.
The LaughFest cloud busting team will be back out in force again this week. The comedy festival starts on this Thursday.
