GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - If you were excited about Tuesday's news of Trader Joe's and Whole Foods coming to West Michigan, you may need to temper that enthusiasm for a little bit.
Yesterday, Earl Clements from Colliers International, a national developer, told WZZM and other media outlets that Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and H&M are all coming to the Grand Rapids area.
But Wednesday, WZZM spoke with the marketing contact for Trader Joe's in California. That person told us that Grand Rapids is not in the "two-year plan" for Trader Joe's.
A representative from Whole Foods also told us that their store would not be in the Grand Rapids area "anytime soon."
Clements told WZZM on Tuesday that he had shown Trader Joe's three Grand Rapids sites, but the company had declined them.
