This was the first year WGRD has coordinated the Cardboard Bobsled Derby at Cannonsburg Ski Area.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM) -- Cardboard replaced skis and snowboards at Cannonsburg ski area on Saturday.

From ducks to hungry sharks, teams taking part in WGRD's  Cardboard Bobsled Derby came up with a variety of themes and costumes to match.

The winning team from last year was ready to repeat their 3.4 second victory.

"We won last year, fastest time. We plan on doing it again this year, not a problem," Jake Parcels said before Saturday's race.

The winner takes home a season pass to Cannonsburg Ski Area as well as bragging rights.

Miller Lite sponsored Saturday's bobsled derby.
